Resources Minister Keith Pitt has discussed net zero, Australia’s resources industry, and his life before politics in a wide-ranging interview with Sky News Australia.
Mr Pitt was born in Bundaberg and took up an electrical apprenticeship at Bundaberg Sugar, before obtaining a degree at Queensland University of Technology.
“I was incredibly fortunate to land that job, and to go and work with some really incredible people in heavy industry, in the sugar industry, at Fairymead Mill,” Mr Pitt said of his role at Bundaberg Sugar.
“It was a great grounding.”
