Greetings everyone!
The borehole project officially started 25/4 in Suma Kunda, located in the West Coast Region - Combo east - The Gambia
The workers started digging for clean water and they finally got to the area where they found it.
I was not able to attend that day but I was there the day after (26/4).

Suma Kunda is village located in the West coast region, Combo east of The Gambia. It is not too far from the city, approximately 1 hour 30 mins from the Serekunda area.
As we were there 26/4, we got a tour around the village and also got to speak to the Alkalo, who is the cheif of the village.
He expressed that water is the biggest challenge the village is facing, and have been facing for many years.
What they currently do to get water is that they fetch it through their few wells located in the village. The problem with these wells though is that they are either dried up or there is little to no water.
The other remaining alternative is that they take tanks on donkeys with carriages to nearby villages to get some water.
When we first arrived to the village, they could not believe their eyes. They never thought anyone would consider them and their condition - their hearts lit up with joy and appreciation.
So in conclusion, this village has been struggling for years when it comes to water.
They deeply appreciate all of our efforts and contributions
May this cause benefit the population of the Gambia without limits.
May this project increase the forgiveness and blessings of our departed youths.
