Upon our arrival into Buford, NS 203 came and went without being uploaded (I can't level this tripod for my life). Luckily, NS local P68 was also sitting there! After a small chat with the engineer and conductor, I relocated, and P68 moved out. It switched the two cement industries up the line, and we also caught it on the way back. Minus the paint on the locomotives and the vehicles driving by, the two scenes you'll witness might as well have been from the Southern Railway days! The Piedmont is still full of history.
Watch as NS Chamblee-Buford local P68 starts up its EMD 645 engines and comes back through town with ex-SOU High Hood NS GP38-2's 5037 and 5093. The P3 on both engines, the Southern-era bells, and the Long-Hood-Forward running on the return trip made this a perfect catch in every manner!
