Why Fish Chase & Fight Each Other (Mollies Guppies Cichlids)

Fish fight, but why?

1. To show who's the boss
2. The right to Breed
3. Territory

Solutions: Have a ration of at least 1 male to two females of most shoaling fish. With larger cichlids usually one male and a harem of females works better.

Keep most fish in as large a group as possible so that aggression is spaced out. Don't put too many males in the same tank and make sure that fish with larger territories are given the space they need!
