Elisabeth and Tom lived on their bush block in Dargan, near Lithgow, for 40-odd years, but lost almost everything to the Gospers Mountain bushfire three days before Christmas. We visited them in June to check out their recovery progress. It was with great sadness we later learned of Tom’s passing. Elisabeth is now rebuilding their new home alone, and with her permission, we share their story.
