The 31 point exercise is practiced as a preliminary to practicing the 61 point exercise. These two exercises are subtle, yet profound exercises for getting access to the sheaths of vitality and mind. When the 31 point exercise can be done without the mind wandering, you are ready for the 61 point exercise. Regular practice of this exercise not only sharpens concentration and relaxes the mind and body, but allows for prana, life force energy, to move more freely. In this manner, repetition of this technique may ease physical disturbances of the body.
To practice, lie flat on a comfortable surface, with a pillow supporting your head. Before beginning the recording, spend a few moments becoming aware of your breath, finding a slow, smooth and steady breath, and relaxing your body from head to toe.
The practice will guide you to bring attention to 31 special energy points of the body. The first handful of times you practice, you might think of sequential numbers associated with each point. Thereafter, you might visualize a blue light or a golden light with each of the 31 points.
