EU leaders in Brussels to discuss future security commitments for Ukraine, relations with China and migration

European Union leaders are set to meet on Thursday and Friday in Brussels, with the war in Ukraine high on the agenda.
Other issues likely to be discussed include European defense, relations with China and immigration.
According to EU media outlet EURACTIV, the latest draft conclusions from the summit state that the bloc and its partners stand ready to contribute to future security commitments to Ukraine, which will help Ukraine defend itself in the long term, deter acts of aggression and resist destabilization efforts.
Also on the agenda is relations with China, with both Brussels and Washington saying they want to “de-risk” without breaking ties with Beijing.
EU leaders are also expected to discuss expanding controversial deals to stem migration.
