Happy New Year! Today we're watching Columbo Dagger of The Mind. This episode has been a long time coming. Peter Falk is quoted as finding this story rather "gimmicky" and I have to agree with him. It's a bit too aware of itself and can be rather hammy. I'd have to rank this one a bit lower among other Columbo episodes, but like always, one can always find something to enjoy about a Columbo episode, even if it's not one's favorite.
