I can manage to camp in Feb and March in -4c but fail in Ullswater on a lovely spring day.. The lesson which came out of it all is don't camp on a ridge because when the wind does pick up your a sitting target. It didn't help being up since 2am and the knee giving me aggro so I just through the towel in .
Looking back at my other camps I have always chose a position were I have some shelter behind as a wind break.
And my little Helium Tent isn't really built to withstand gusts that bad as the thing was folding in on itself.
I won't dwell on it and hopefully back at it next week to lay the demons haha
