This is a glitch that occurs from time to time while emulating HG/SS. If you try to open any menus when this happens, the game freezes. The only ways to fix it are to load from a previous save state before the glitch occured, save and load normally if it will let you, or load from your last normal save. This was using DeSmuME 0.9.6.
