I've always been a fan of Neve style compressors on my parallel drums (33609, 2254 etc).
This is my Audioscape MK609 inserted on parallel drum/shells bus (mainly feeding snare into this, toms, kick and cymbals to a lesser degree).
I wanted to compare the stock attack setting to the fast attack setting

This is with the master drum bus muted, so you're hearing ONLY the parallel bus.
