FAO's The State of Agricultural Commodity Markets 2024 explored the theme, "Trade and nutrition: Policy coherence for healthy diets." The 2024 edition discussed the complex linkages between food trade and nutrition and generates evidence to show how trade can affect dietary patterns and nutritional outcomes.
In celebration of the report's launch, FAO hosted three Italy-based chefs from 3 regions, at its Headquarters in Rome, Italy. The chefs, Cristina Bowerman, Victoire Gouloubi and Xinge Liu, discussed the importance of trade in their field. During the event, each chef presented a unique dish influenced by their culinary heritage, as well as the vital role that trade plays in the sharing of ingredients, local foods and diversification of diets.
