When The Legend of Zelda series turned 25 in 2011, the release and reception of Skyward Sword sent Nintendo's Eiji Aonuma on a vision quest to figure out how to evolve Link's adventures. That led to the hugely successful Breath of the Wild and a cadre of other games along the way, including A Link Between Worlds on 3DS, Tears of the Kingdom on Switch, and most recently, the upcoming Echoes of Wisdom that is due out in September 2024.
Join us as we look at the path that Aonuma and Nintendo have taken over the past 13 years to reach a point where Zelda has never been more successful, but it's also in a position to truly never be the same again.
