Comic Market, more commonly known as Comiket, is a biannual ‘dōjinshi’ (fan-made manga) fair celebrated in Tokyo Big Sight, Odaiba, Tokyo. Inaugurated in 1975, nowadays it’s the largest fan convention in the world, with an estimated attendance of over half a million.

Comiket is held twice yearly, in August (NatsuComi) and December (FuyuComi). Last year, due to the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, both events expanded from the usual three days to four days of programming. Apart from fan-made manga, Comiket is famous for the high quality of the cosplayers visiting the event.
