6 eggs
1 cinnamon
3 pieces of star anise
3 cloves
2 tsp of black tea
6 tbs of soy sauce
A pinch of salt
A pinch of sugar
First, place 6 eggs in a pot and fill with water, about 1 inch above the eggs. Bring the pot to a boil, then turn to low heat and let it simmer for 8 minutes.
Remove the eggs and let the eggs.
In the same pot, add 1 cinnamon, 3 pieces of star anise, 3 cloves, 2 tablespoons of black tea, 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, a pinch of sugar and bring it to a boil and immediately turn to low heat.
Using the back of a spoon, gently tap the eggshell to crack the shell all over.
Return the eggs into the pot and simmer for 1 hour. Then cover with lid and let eggs steep for a few hours to overnight. The longer you steep, the more flavorful the tea eggs will be!
