The province of Bali, Indonesia will begin imposing a Tourist Levy upon all foreign citizens arriving in Bali for tourism purposes. The cost of this levy, or tax, is 150,000 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). U.S. citizens that are subject to this tax are those arriving in Bali using a tourist visa and those seeking a Visa On Arrival (VOA) or electronic Visa On Arrival (eVOA).
Payment of the Tourist Levy is recommended to be done prior to arrival in Bali and remitted through the province of Bali’s official “Love Bali” website: [ Ссылка ]
Individuals may apply for exemptions to this tourism tax if they have entered Indonesia with a visa other than a tourism visa. Examples of exempted individuals may include but not limited to the holders of various KITAP and KITAS visas and reentry permits, retirement or “golden” visas, and diplomatic/official visas. Per the Bali Provincial Government regulations, exemption of the Tourist Levy must also be applied for at least five days before arrival, and an exemption application may require a PDF scan/photo of a valid visa that demonstrates exemption eligibility.
