Today we share a Kerala Style Vadukapuli Naranga Achar Recipe which is very easy and tasty recipe. Through this video we sharing a pickle recioe with no biiter taste in it.
Vadukapuli Naranga Achar is a traditional lemon pickle usually prepared for Kerala's grand feast,Sadya . What makes this lemon pickle unique from other usual lemon pickles is the special lemon used called "wild lemon"a.k.a Curry citrus a.k.a. Curry Naranga a.k.a Vadukapuli Naranga in Malayalam.Hence, this lemon pickle is known as Vadukapuli Naranga Achar.Large Lemon Pickle or wild lemon pickle or Vadukapuli Naranga Achar is a tangy kind of south Indian pickle certainly one of my personal favorite Indian pickles. This large lemon is also known as Wild lemon, Curry Naranga, Vadukapuli naranga, and it belongs to the citrus family.
Vadukapuli achar is very simple to prepare with just a few common ingredients, salt, green chilies, curry leaves, ginger, garlic, and spices. Unlike the traditional pickle, this Vadukapuli Naranga Achar can be served instantly after preparation. If stored properly, instant lemon pickles store for more than a couple of weeks if refrigerated. This is a common recipe in sadya. Its a an unavoidable recipe in onam sadya.

Bitter Lemon-½ kg
Rock Salt
Dates-20 nos (vinegar-¼ cup for soaking dates)
Gingelly oil -100 g
Mustard -1 sp
Curryleaves
Dried red chilli
Garlic-½ cup
Red chilli powder-3 sp
Kashmeeri chillipowder-2 sp
Turmericpowder-¼ tsp
Fenugreek, mustard, Asafoetidia(powdered -2 sp)
