Comparative illustrations are often helpful to clarify one competing theory over another. In this video we show how our graphics team at Trial Exhibits, Inc. created custom illustrations to show jurors these theories for comparison. This case involved the premature delivery of a 28 week-old baby due to ruptured membranes of the uterus.
First, an illustration of the opponents' theory of a rupture via a plastic applicator is shown. Next, an illustration of our expert's theory of a footling breach shows how the unborn infant's foot could have punctured the membrane. Finally, a side-by-side comparison illustration shows how the moisture caused by the bacterial vaginosis that necessitated the vaginal cream could easily be misidentified as an amniotic fluid leak.
