Ghana’s first skeleton Olympian, Akwasi Frimpong, made history Saturday February 29, 2020 by winning his first race. The win was Ghana’s first place finish in history in winter sport and Africa’s first in the sport of skeleton. Frimpong’s previous best finish was in the top nine. The race took place in Parkcity, Utah. First run frimpong pushed a 4.82 seconds and downtime was 50.69 seconds. Second run push was a 4.79 seconds and a 50.76 seconds downtime. www.frimpong.com
