The cause of death for Cody Longo has been determined.
TMZ has gotten the autopsy report which states that the Days of Our Lives star died from "chronic ethanol abuse." The cause of Longo's death was listed as natural, yet the presence of alcohol bottles was mentioned.
PEOPLE has contacted the coroner and Longo's representative for comment.
On February 7th, at the age of 34, Longo passed away. Although investigators told PEOPLE that Longo's death was not suspicious, TMZ said that they found him in bed at an Austin, Texas, residence.

She wrote, "I'm laughing, thinking back on our silly moments together, and I'm crying happy tears looking back on our beautiful life," accompanied a series of black and white photographs of Cody with their children. I'm grieving the life we might have shared together. I can't help but feel guilty that I didn't do more to try to save you.
"A piece of me is gone..." Continued Stephanie, "I feel like a piece of me went missing that day. We miss everything about you: your humour, your hugs, your embraces, and especially the prayers you spoke over us each night.
She continued, stating that Cody "fought for so long." "You fought for our family," she penned. Neither the babies nor I can fathom what might have possibly ended your struggle.but we have faith that you are at rest and without suffering in Jesus's eternal kingdom. By saying, "I know you were smiling down on us hunny!!," she ended her heartfelt homage to her spouse.Cody appeared in eight episodes of Days of Our Lives in 2011 as Nicholas Alamain, the son of Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell). Acting roles in Make It or Break It and Nashville are among others. Besides acting, he has dabbled in music, releasing the single "Atmosphere" in 2012.
According to Clarksville Now, in January 2021 Cody pled guilty to a misdemeanour assault charge in Colorado stemming from an incident in 2019 involving a 9-year-old girl.
According to court records obtained by the publication, Cody was arrested in January of 2020 on charges of sex assault on a kid, a class 4 felony. The plea bargain resulted in the dismissal of the criminal charges. According to a police report acquired by the site, he was also detained in November 2020 on domestic abuse charges after his wife said that he had shoved her in the face with his forearm.
In a statement issued after Cody's arrest in November, his attorney Iris Eytan said, "Overwhelming evidence unequivocally disproves and refutes the allegations in the affidavit." Clarksville Now reports that "additional evidence completely exonerates him," beyond the testimony of his innocence contained in the affidavit's actual interviews (as opposed to a summary of those interviews).
