I show how to solve one of the most profound equations in quantum mechanics, the time-dependent Schrödinger equation, using separation of variables, which is a technique to solve first-order linear differential equations. I am interested in providing real-world examples of AP Calculus knowledge, and quantum mechanics is one of them.
