Russia claims Ukraine is using Western weapons for strikes in the Kursk region. The Russian Defence Ministry says Ukraine likely used U.S-made HIMARS rockets to strike a bridge in Kursk. Ukraine struck a bridge in west Russia’s Kursk region on August 16. Russia says the attack killed volunteers evacuating civilians in the region. Ukrainian forces claim to have taken control of 82 Russian settlements over an area of 1,150 square kilometres.
