At one point I had a nice description here but somehow I overwrote it. I'll write a brief one.

These donations were refunded several days later by the donor. At the time I uploaded this video (hours after the donations) they were not refunded. To give you a brief idea of how this happens, usually the "donor" just adds a bogus payment method to their PayPal which requires a payment processing time. They then donate a large amount and it appears on stream and in the recipient's PayPal. Multiple things can then happen. Usually it's one of these two: 1) the account linked as a payment method doesn't have nearly enough funds so it just gets declined and PayPal reverses the transaction in their system OR 2) the donor simply tells their bank, credit card processor, and/or PayPal that they did not authorize the transaction and it is reversed. Simple, but unfortunate for the recipient. As a Twitch partner myself, we know that anytime you get a payment like this you should not touch it at all for at least a few months, preferably up to 6 months. At that point, most of the buyer protection from PayPal is gone and you are most likely outside the window for any chargebacks.

I didn't expect this video to get as many views as it did, so I figure I explain the music I used. The songs are from a doujin circle called Lost Garden, a Japanese group of artists under an independent label producing electronic music. If their music was readily available to purchase I wouldn't do this, but groups like this usually only release their music as limited physical releases at events, so here's a link to the full album, Midnight Adventurer.
