How to make jaljeera at home?
Preparing jal jeera is super quick and easy. I felt the urge to prepare it today and thought why not also make a video of it. And in another 15 mins both tasks were done!
We will take all the ingredients in the grinder, which includes fresh mint or pudina leaves, lemon juice, tamarind pulp or juice, amchoor or mango powder, sendha namak, cumin seeds, gingerand black pepper. Grind this into a paste, and mix cold water. Or you can also add some ice cubes into the water. And the perfect jaljeera is ready to sip! You can garnish it with some boondi, and few mint leaves too.
Few notes,
- If you don’t have sendha namak you can use normal salt.
- If you don’t have amchoor powder just replace it with lemon juice.
- Tamarind pulp is also not amust to useif you don’t have it. But it adds nice tangy taste, which is different from lemon juice, so I would advise adding it.
- Adjust salt/spice quantity as per your taste preference!
