Tor-M2 is an air defense missile system nicknamed the
"Drone Killer" is designed to engage fixed- and rotary-winged aircraft, aerodynamic unmanned aerial vehicles, guided missiles, and other elements of high-precision weapons at medium, low, and extremely low altitudes in contested air and jamming environments. The Tor-M2 is an upgraded version of the Tor-M1 short-range air defense missile system. The Russian Defense Company, Almaz-Antey, designed the TOR-M2/M2E. Tor-M2 missiles have a range of 16 km, a maximum altitude of 10 km, and a maximum speed of 1000 m/s. The system is capable of short-stop firing, which takes 2–3 seconds for the system to go from motion to stationary and fire the missile. The turret of the TOR-M2 also includes a 25 km 360° search radar mounted at the rear and a 15 km 60° tracking radar at the front. TOR-M2 missiles are being used by the Russian armed forces during their invasion of Ukraine.
