Do you like boating in the lakes?
📌 I used to find it a bit cliched but when I was out of options in Pokhara, I had to find the shortest way possible to start my day hike to World Peace Pagoda. So.. I hired a boat and hopped on for a wonderful experience.
📌 Pokhara Lake’s average depth is 28ft and if you’re a novice swimmer like me, you’d be scared for your life too. Even though I was confident that I’d be able to swim, the average depth info gave me jitters 😂
📌 The boats used in Phewa Lake are old school - one joint boat with 2 planks, and since the lake is almost 5km wide, rowing isn’t that easy, in fact, it can tire the person rowing easily.
📌While on my way from the World Peace Pagoda to Pokhara, I had to help out my guide in rowing because he got so tired of rowing and that too in the rain.
📌Tell me would you go boating when it is raining??
