Heavy fighting erupted in the heart of the Chechen capital Friday
(8/3) between armoured Russian troops and separatist fighters.
Russian ORT public television quoted the Russian command as saying
70 federal troops had been killed and 130 wounded in the clashes
since Wednesday, but the toll could not be confirmed.
