Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Nigeria Police, Solomon Arase has directed Companies using Supernumerary Police otherwise known as SPY, to stop the use of Police uniform for their operations across the country on or before January 1, 2016.
The IGP gave the directive at a meeting with Security Managers of Companies using SPY Police for their internal security.
He said the measure is part of his administration’s renewed strategy to fight crime across the country.
