25th September 2024 saw a traction power fault near Clementi Station around 9am turn into a full day disruption on the East West Line. Westbound rains were being turned around at Queenstown, and at Outram Park station to avoid the affected section of track.
Some sources show that a Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 train may have lifted itself off the rails and damaging the third rail near Ulu Pandan Depot. Wild stuff.
