Female labor participation rates have hovered around 50 percent for the last 20 years, against a labor force participation for males around 80 percent. The absence of women from the labor market is due to several factors, including the lack of childcare support, lack of a supporting system for working women in the workplace and their surrounding environment which enable them to continue their participation in the labor force.

To start the discourse, The World Bank (Indonesia) in partnership with SWA Media held a webinar that invited several female figures to convey their aspirations to encourage active participation of women in the workforce and women leadership in Indonesia.
