Guys, I have been wanting to catch some #BlueGills but instead I caught something else! Watch the video, used a simple method with a piece of #Bread (you can use any like #SaraLee #Naturesown #KingsHawaiian #Wonderbread #pepperidgeFarm )on a hook and simply left the rod to do the work while I fished another spot. Came back and found a surprise just waiting to be pulled out.
The fish on the hook was a #MexicanMojarra its a type of #Cichlid also known as: #FalseRedTerror #RedTerror #OrangeTiger #MayanCichlid #MojarraCastarrica this fish is native to South America and can typically be found in swamps, marshes, rivers, lakes, shallow coastal lagoons, mangroves and other areas where fresh and saltwater converge. It typically feeds on smaller fish and invertebrates.
Although I practice #CatchandRelease #C&R #CNR - this fish does make for good eating a simple #Google search for Mexican Mojarra will provide many links to recipes.
