ARIS Technology developed this automated robotic 3D scanning solution to utilize the versatile and compact FANUC LR Mate 200iD robot for manufacturing quality control. The system performs complex 3D inspection of parts in four simple and easy steps:

Step one: An operator loads the part tray into the system.

Step two: Using the system’s intuitive HMI, the operator selects the tray to be inspected and presses start. The ARIS system will automatically begin inspecting the parts, collecting millions of data points in just seconds. The system proceeds to scan the part from various angles, and distances are automatically combined into one 3D file. The resulting 3D file is then compared to the CAD file for the part.

Step three: View part report. With the ARIS inspection system part reports can be viewed from any device.

Step four: Run trend analysis; Again, from any device in an intuitive and easy to use format.
