Low-income & disabled Londoners and the capital’s small businesses & charities have been allocated nearly £18m so far from scrappage scheme ahead of ULEZ expansion 29 August.
With nearly 5,000 applications approved so far, the scrappage scheme is already in the process of helping Londoners transition to greener transport and remove 5,000 of the most polluting cars, motorbikes, vans and minibuses from London’s roads.
£3m has been allocated to nearly 1,700 Londoners on low incomes already and £1m to 500 disabled Londoners.
While nine out ten cars seen in outer London on an average day comply with ULEZ, drivers are encouraged to check if their vehicle is compliant by using our vehicle checker.
Thousands could be eligible for support without knowing so we urge all Londoners with a non-compliant vehicle to see if they can access the scrappage scheme.
Check your vehicle and find more details about the scrappage scheme.
