The 2.5l Jeep motor is notorious for lacking the necessary horsepower to get a Wrangler up and moving in a timely manner. We knew that the TJ was slow, but we wanted to find out exactly how slow. We decided to measure out a 1/4 mile and solve this question once and for all. We used an app on the iPhone to do the test and we crosschecked it to a stopwatch to make sure that the app was at least close. We ran the test 3 times and each time was within a two tenths of a second difference.

The Jeep we used has 4.88 gears and 35s. The motor is the stock 2.5l minus a few little upgrades such as short ram intake and throttle body spacer.
