Death Duty was a Grade 1 winner over hurdles and fences in his pomp but the 11-year-old had last won late in December 2017.
But he put that right in style for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy by landing the Hollywoodbets Grand National Trial Handicap Chase at Punchestown in February 2022, worth €53,100 to the winner. The Randox Grand National at Aintree on April 9 could now be on his agenda.
