Since its foundation, GA Drilling has been working on the development of PLASMABIT, a revolutionary drilling tool. After a decade of development of the core technology, the base platform is ready.
The platform utilizes existing off-the-shelf proven technologies integrated with GA Drilling’s PLASMABIT drilling technology to deliver the desired results, while achieving linear drilling cost instead of exponential one due to the Rapid Rate of Penetration achieved.
PLASMABIT has the modular design:
Head - unlike a regular bit, this bit is using a high-power rotating electric arc using 6000℃ plasma (ionized hot gas) to disintegrate any material without direct contact.
Drive - the entire tool has directional maneuverability capability that can be remotely adjusted for optimized drilling performance.
Data/Connectivity - multiple sensors deliver a real-time view.
Control - the entire system can be remotely and automatically operated using a proprietary software built by GA Drilling.

Geothermal Energy
Geothermal energy is heat that comes from the sub-surface of the Earth. To produce power from geothermal energy, wells are drilled deep into underground reservoirs to access the hot water or steam there.
Geothermal is the ultimate source of energy:
Renewable - through proper reservoir management, the rate of energy extraction can be balanced with a reservoir's natural heat recharge rate.
Baseload - geothermal power plants produce electricity consistently, running 24 hours per day / 7 days per week, regardless of weather conditions, with more than 95% of operational time.
Local - geothermal resources are available anywhere in the world and can be tapped next to the point of consumption, without distant transportation.
Small Footprint - geothermal power plants are compact; using much less land per GWh than coal, wind, or solar.
Clean - modern closed-loop geothermal power plants emit no greenhouse gasses. It´s a way to divert from negative climate change.

In theory, there is no problem with the supply of geothermal power. The heat contained in the Earth’s crust would be enough to meet the world’s energy demand thousands of times over. All you need to do is to reach the right thermal temperatures cost-efficiently.
Today the limiting factor for ultra-deep geothermal exploiting is the drilling costs of every well. This is the most expensive part of geothermal energy and it is exponentially growing with the depth.
If the heat happens to be deeper, at 10 kilometres, the drilling cost skyrockets to several tens of millions per well, which makes the entire project unattractive.
