A specialist products lab within the Giant Bicycle corporation created the first commercially produced carbon fibre bicycle frames bearing the name Cadex back in the late 80s. The move irrevocably accelerated the performance of cycling equipment.
The name was retired by Giant eventually but today is once again attached to the best in cycling technology. The Cadex brand now produces a range of high-performance wheels and components.
The wheels use the latest hookless technology for the greatest strength and lowest rotating mass, as well as other innovative features like Cadex’s ‘Dynamic Balanced Lacing’, which ensures spokes are set for optimal tension under dynamic pedalling loads rather than when static, as well as radical Aero Carbon spokes. They can be paired with Cadex’s equally innovative tubeless tyres, which will seat using only a track pump and offer low rolling resistance but high levels of grip.
Cadex’s latest wheels have already been ridden to success in the WorldTour, reaffirming Cadex’s rightful place at the top of the sport. However, despite class-leading specifications across each model they remain accessible priced, ensuring Cadex is again helping both professionals and amateurs benefit from the forefront of carbon technology.
