Years ago, Joni and Ken had the opportunity to travel to Israel. Toward the end of their visit, they drove high up on a hill overlooking the ruins of Capernaum. Ken turned to face the Sea of Galilee and began reciting the Sermon on the Mount.

When they got home, Joni couldn’t wait to paint the scene as she imagined it may have looked over 2,000 years ago. The result is this 24" x 48” oil rendering of the hills surrounding the Sea of Galilee and Jesus preaching to the people.
