With a history of over 400 years, the Gujo Odori is one of the three most important bon dance festivals in Japan, and one of the funnest! Designated a Significant Intangible Cultural Folk Asset by the Japanese government, Gujo Odori was also recently added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
