Senator Imee Marcos, chair of the Senate committee on economic affairs, urges the government to provide more employment opportunities for displaced OFWs that are now returning home, especially in rural places amid the coronavirus pandemic.
She also explained that not all OFWs are ready to become entrepreneurs, and that's the reason why she proposes to create a database to help them find an employer or possible business partner. This move can help our returning ‘kababayans’ survive from joblessness and protect them from investment scams.
