In the south-eastern part, which is the Chittagong Division, there are natural and hilly areas like Chittagong Hill Tracts, along with sandy sea beaches. The most notable beach, in Cox's Bazar, is a contender for the title of longest unbroken sandy sea beach in the world.
Khagrachari (Bengali: খাগড়াছড়ি) is a district in south-eastern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chittagong Division and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Its local name is "Chengmi". Khagrachari is also known as Phalang Htaung (ဖလံေထာင္) or the Mong Circle (of the rest of the three hill districts Rangamati is the Chakma Circle (သက္ေထာင္) and Bandarban (ဗိုလ္မင္းေထာင္) is the Bohmong Circle). There are many tourist places in Khagrachari like Alutila Cave, Alutila Tourists spot, Richhang waterfall, Yonged Buddha Bihar, Dighinala Touduchhori Waterfall and others.
Rangamati (Bengali: রাঙামাটি; Chakma: 𑄢𑄋𑄟𑄖𑄳𑄡) is the administrative headquarters of Rangamati Hill District in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. It is also a capital city of Chittagong Hill Tracts. The town is located at 22°37'60N 92°12'0E and has an altitude of 14 metres (46 ft). The district is administered by an office named as District Administration, Rangamati.
From Chittagong a 77 kilometres (48 mi) road leads to Rangamati. The township is located on the western bank of the Kaptai lake. Rangamati is a holiday destination because of its landscape, scenic beauty, lake, indigenous groups (Chakma, Marma, Tripura, Pangkhua etc.), flora and fauna, indigenous museum, hanging bridge etc.
Sajek Valley - সাজেক ভ্যালি / মেঘের উপত্যকায় জীবন is an emerging tourist spot in Bangladesh situated among the hills of Kasalong range of mountains in Sajek union, Baghaichhari Upazila in Rangamati District. The valley is 1,800 feet (550 m) above sea level. Sajek valley is known as the Queen of Hills & Roof of Rangamati. Sajek is a union located in the north of Chittagong Hill Tracts. It's under Baghaichori Upazila in Rangamati hill district, it is situated 67km north-east from Khagrachhari town and 95km North-West from Rangamati city. The border of Bangladesh and Mizoram of India is 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) east from Sajek.
