Inflate a Balloon with Baking Soda and Vinegar Chemical Reaction.
In this simple experiment the vinegar reacts with the baking soda. This is called neutralization, because this reaction results in new substances instead of acid: water, a certain kind of salt, and carbon dioxide.
The carbon dioxide leaves the liquid mixture, and its amount gradually increases. The gas fills the balloon and inflates it.
