Mount Everest, which is the highest mountain in the world. This is a majestic and aweinspiring natural wonder that has captivated the imagination of people for centuries. Mount Everest is located in the Himalayas on the border between Nepal and China, Everest stands at an incredible 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) above sea level.
Located on the Nepal-China border, Mount Everest is formed from limestone, gneiss and schist rocks. Harsh climate conditions include temperatures below -60°C and winds exceeding 280 km/h.

1856, using trigonometric calculations.
Everest has several climbing routes, including the popular South Col route, which is considered the safest and most straightforward route to the summit. Other routes include the North Ridge, West Ridge, and the more challenging North Face.
Climbers face treacherous routes, altitude sickness and crevasses. The most popular routes are the South Col and North Ridge.
