Sherri has been chosen based upon the incredible visible courage displayed as she fights daily for her life. It has been ravaged for over 30 years by Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme Disease, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and more. The long battle led Sherri to the co-founding of IDA in 1996; the co-authoring of the landmark book on disability support, But You LOOK Good – How to Encourage and Understand People Living with Illness and Pain and the sharing of her personal journey, chronicled on her website and social media, to help millions of people on their invisible disabilities journeys as well.
