(27 Jan 1995) Sarajevo on Friday (27/1) marked its 1,000th day under a Serb
siege, determined to show the world its will to survive remains
unshaken. Mayors, municipal officials and dignitaries from around
the world are attending a four-day program organized by the city
authorities. Prayers were said simultaneously at Sarajevo's Roman
Catholic Cathedral, a synagogue and a mosque.
