In this special video, I went inside The Philippines Biggest ISIS War Zone - Marawi City, located in Mindanao, The Philippines. Marawi has a troubled past, most notably during 2017 when the ISIS-backed Maute group and Abu Sayyaf launched an assault on the city. Their intention was to establish an ISIS territory in The Philippines, which led to a devastating five-month battle that left the city in ruins.

I met up with my friend and tour guide, Jason, who was in the Islamic City of Marawi during the siege. In the video, he takes me around ground zero, explains what happened there, and shows me how the rebels survived airstrikes. He also took me deep into the former battlefield.

Additionally, I had the chance to try some incredible food in Marawi and met some of the amazing Maranao people!
