This video shows you how to install an outer tie rod on your 2003-2021 Chevrolet Express. Outer tie rods, sometimes referred to as “tie rod ends,” connect the steering rack to the steering knuckle. Their joints can wear out over time, causing loose steering, vibrations, and uneven tire wear. They are also a common failure point in localities with safety inspections.

This repair was done on a 2003 Chevrolet Express 3500 Base 6.0L Standard Passenger Van 3-Door RWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
