The highlight in this vehicle class is the proven and tested MAN TipMatic, a feature well used in the heavy-duty vehicle class. The TipMatic automatically controls the shifting strategy as well as the gear shifting operation. Depending on the engine power rating, either a 6- or 12-speed gearbox variant is used. Since the shifting strategy feature optimises the engine's characteristic, the fuel consumption is considerably lowered.
