Before you actually go out there to find clients on LI, let’s talk about the types.
1. Outbound: the ones you get when you reach out and pitch people directly (I call it shameless pitching)
2. Inbound: the ones who know you and what you do and are interested in hiring you
To be successful on LI, you must have both.
Here are 5 steps you should follow before even thinking about clients.
A. Niche down
B. Identify your ideal customer (rev/team/style)
C. Create a solid offer (Be unique)
D. Optimize your profile (case studies/wins/testimonials)
E. Write a solid description (keeping your ideal customer in mind)
Now, both client types involve different angles of approach.
1. Let's go with outbound first.
This is where you just message people who’re your ideal audience about your service.
-Create a list of potential shikar that fulfill the criteria of an ideal client
-See if they are active on LI
-Make sure they have a good standing
Now, I’ve created a detailed video on sales pitch and for LI, we’ll keep it to 2 types.
A. Shameless pitch: Hey X! I’ve recently helped a client [your biggest win] through copywriting and strategy. Noticed you are in the same niche and might also need copywriting taken care of. Relevant?
B. Value pitch: Hey X! Love the value you share here. Got a chance to read your emails and loved them. Couldn’t keep my copywriting brain from making them sound even better. The more sales they bring, the better, right? Here are the links: _____. Let me know your thoughts.
2. Inbound
This is a long-term approach. You’ll probably start seeing results in 6-10 months.
That too depends on your offer/quality/experience/testimonials etc.
For inbound, you need content, engagement, and building connections.
Here’s how this works:

W. Some follow you
E. Out of them, someone will hire you
The best part is that it’s not FIVERR/UPWORK.
1 Client = lots of money.
How do you get people to look at you?
Create content. About what?
Share testimonials. Case studies. Wins. Losses. Difficult projects. Achievements. Stats. Etc.
People who comment. Interact with them. Talk to them. And sell them your services.
Talk about you have a slot open for booking and people will come to you directly.
This is how it’s DONE.
It takes time but you will never have to hunt a client again. People will come to you.
