The Swedish pop group Family Four made records during the 1960s and 1970s. They were made up of Berndt Öst, Marie Bergman, Agnetha Munther and Pierre Isacsson. They won Melodifestivalen twice, in 1971 with "Vita vidder" and in 1972 with "Härliga sommardag". They went on to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest on these two occasions. They finished sixth in 1971 and 13th in 1972. They also represented their home country Sweden at the opening ceremony of the 1974 FIFA World Cup.

In 1973 they played in the "comedy comedy musical" Ryck mig i väskan, a collaboration between SR, BBC, YLE and NRK.

After a few albums, which both contained interpretations by Joni Mitchell, Tom Paxton and other 1960s and 1970s musicians and own compositions, mainly by Marie Bergman, Berndt Öst and Pierre Isacsson, the group split up. Monica Aspelund succeeded Marie Bergman for a short period. She was in turn replaced by Ann-Kristin "Anki" Nilsson.

Berndt Öst continued to perform during the 1970s and 1980s with various variations of the Family Four concept, but the interest was not as great for the cheerful vocal-guitar mix that had always been the Family Four's hallmark.

Berndt Öst, Agneta Munther, Hacke Björksten and Roman Dylag formed the group Smile which released an LP in 1978.

After that, Berndt Öst and Agneta Munther performed as a duo. Both Marie Bergman and Pierre Isacsson went on to successful solo careers.
